CGD Philosophy

CGD coaches are committed to helping goaltenders of all ages and skill levels understand how to use the various tools and techniques to stop the puck. In the end, our goal is the same as yours:

STOP AT NOTHING TO STOP EVERYTHING

The game of hockey is the fastest game on earth and goaltenders are required to be elite level athletes in every aspect. Not only must you possess fast reflexes, explosive strength, and exceptional agility, you must react with controlled, pin point accuracy.

Our coaching philosophy is simple: We believe in developing one skill at a time to help goalies build a strong foundation and understanding of how to consistently use all of the tools available.

We do not group goalies by age alone. We take into account several factors before placing a goalie into a particular learning environment. We call this our Goalie Level System (GLV).
